Individual Therapy

Sports Performance

Individual therapy can be for anyone, but I have a strong interest in working with athletes. I believe that mental/emotional preparedness is just as important as physical preparedness for any sport. Being an athlete has many aspects that affect performance. Individual therapy can help an athlete open up a discussion regarding the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress Management
  • Performance Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Life Transitions
  • Academics
  • Self-esteem

Racial Identity

Being someone who identifies as mixed-race, I believe that individual therapy can allow those who may not fit into one specific box speak about those experiences. Having an open space to talk about your own personal experiences may help the client navigate through the following topics:

  • Anxiety
  • Ethnic/Racial Identity
  • Social Relationships
  • Family Relationships
  • Stress
  • Self-Esteem

Young Adults

As someone who is younger, I understand what it may feel like to be judged by your age. There are so many things we have to manage. Whether it is regarding school, family, friends, significant others, or professional issues, I am here to listen and hold a space to discuss what may be coming up for you. In sessions things that may come up are:

  • Anxiety
  • Self-Esteem
  • Coping Skills
  • Family Conflict
  • Grief
  • Relationship Conflict
  • Life Transitions
  • Peer Relationships
  • Stress Management

Teens

During your teen years, this is the time you start developing a sense of self. It can be a positive time in your life but it can also be confusing, anxiety provoking, and stressful. I want to help support you as you navigate your worldview and define who you are as a whole person. We may discuss in sessions:

  • Relationships
    • Peer
    • Family
    • Romantic
  • Stress Management
  • Anxiety
  • Life Transitions
  • Identity Development

EMDR Therapy

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This mode of therapy allows clients to help make traumas or significant life events become “unstuck.” With the use of Bilateral Stimulation, I will help the client reprocess these negative memories that are obstructing your brain’s ability to heal. EMDR Therapy has been used with:

  • Anxiety
  • Sport’s Performance
  • Grief
  • Emotional Distress
  • PTSD
  • Eating Disorders

Academics

With my background of working at the Kortschak Center of Learning and Creativity on USC’s campus, I believe that any student can succeed with the right support. I have a strength-based approach on how to better equip the client for academic success. Some topics that could be covered when speaking about learning differences are:

  • Anxiety
    • Test Anxiety
    • Social Anxiety
  • Stress Management
  • Time Management
  • ADHD
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Life Transitions

Group Therapy

Racial Identity

Growing up, I did not have many people who looked like me, or knew what it meant to be other. Being surrounded by those who are willing to listen and understand your narrative can be healing. The process of talking about topics that those who are mono-racial may find uncomfortable can be cathartic. With this group we will discuss:

  • Racial Identity
  • Anxiety
  • Self-Esteem
  • Microaggressions
  • Imposter Syndrome
  • Self-Worth
